Daniel Tanguay, founder of Solexi.ai

My name is Daniel Tanguay. I am the founder of Solexi.ai and the author of most of the content published here. I am not a notary, a lawyer or a financial planner: I am a father from Québec who built the tool he wished existed.

Why I write these pages myself

Solexi did not come out of market research. It came out of an ordinary realisation shared by millions of families: our lives now live inside devices, accounts and passwords nobody else knows. The day someone dies, their relatives inherit a maze.

I write this content because I refuse to publish generic text about something this intimate. Every page starts from a real question people ask, and ends with what can concretely be done — even without Solexi.

How I write

One rule governs this whole site: never guess. Platform procedures come from official documentation, never from a second-hand article. Legal references point to government sources. Every factual page carries a last-reviewed date.

  • Official sources first: Google, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, governments.
  • No statistic without a verifiable source.
  • Anything that varies by country is presented as variable, not as a universal rule.
  • Pages are corrected when a procedure changes, not rewritten for rankings.

What I am not

I have no legal, notarial or financial training, and I claim none. Nothing on this site is legal, tax or medical advice. For a will, a power of attorney, an estate or a tax question, the right person is a notary or a lawyer in your jurisdiction.

What I can contribute is the part nobody takes care of: gathering the practical information, making it findable, and preserving what has no legal value but all the emotional value — the photos, the voices, the recipes, the stories.

What I am building with Solexi

Solexi.ai is a family vault: important documents, memories, wishes and trusted people in one place, with precise control over who sees what. The project is being built in the open, with a Kickstarter campaign accompanying its launch.

The model is deliberately simple: a 14-day free trial, then a single CAD $199 payment for lifetime access with 10 GB included. No subscription, no automatic renewal.
