Security: who can see your documents and memories
Before handing your papers and family photos to an online service, one question really matters: who can reach them, and under what circumstances? Here is the answer, without jargon.
Who can see your content
By default, nobody but you. A document or memory placed in Solexi is visible only to the people you explicitly invited into your family circle, with the role you gave them.
Permissions are checked on the server for every request, not merely hidden in the interface. A guessed link or a copied address is not enough to open anything.
Roles, so access is never all-or-nothing
Letting a relative in should never mean letting them into everything. Each invited person gets a role, and that role decides what they see and what they can change.
- View only: read shared memories, change nothing.
- Contribute: add photos, stories or documents.
- Manage: invite other members and organize content.
- Owner: full control, including deleting the circle.
How your account is protected
Access rests on a password you choose and, if you turn it on, two-factor authentication. Traffic to the service is encrypted in transit, and files sit in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed links.
Sensitive actions leave a readable trail: who was invited, when access was revoked, what was shared.
What we do not do
Your content is not sold, not resold, not used for advertising. It is not raw material for a public artificial intelligence model.
You can export your content and close your account. Deletion removes the associated files, apart from the minimal logs the law may require us to keep.

Frequently asked questions
Where is my data hosted?
With our cloud provider, in a database and storage space dedicated to Solexi, with access rules enforced per user. Nothing is stored on a personal machine or drive.
Can the Solexi team read my documents?
Technical access is restricted and logged, and is used only to answer a support request or a legal obligation. We do not browse your content for any other reason.
What if I forget my password?
You reset it from the sign-in page through a link sent to your email address. That is also why two-factor authentication helps: it protects that recovery path.
What if Solexi ever shut down?
You can export your content from your account at any time. We also recommend keeping your own copy of the documents that matter most.
Solexi does not replace a legal will, a notary or a lawyer. Solexi helps you gather, organize and pass on your information.
